Garmin zūmo XT3 Motorcycle Sat Nav (4.7” & 6”) UK

Product Codes: GZUXT34, GZUXT36

Garmin zumo XT3 is the latest generation of Garmin's premium motorcycle sat nav range, available in two sizes - a 4.7-inch model ideal for sport and smaller motorcycles, and a 6-inch model for touring and adventure riders who want maximum screen visibility. Both models share the same rugged, weatherproof construction as their predecessor, with MIL-STD-810 drop rating and IPX7 waterproofing, making them equally at home on daily commutes, long-distance European tours or exploring challenging off-road terrain.

Building on everything that made the Garmin zumo XT2 so popular, the XT3 introduces a number of genuinely new features including lean angle tracking, track-day performance metrics (drag race timer and lap time review with an active Garmin Performance Package subscription), and the new Outdoor Maps+ subscription service for premium off-road routing. The XT3 also adds 64GB of internal storage - double the capacity of the XT2 - and brings HD 3D terrain views to both screen sizes.

Whether you are planning your next scenic ride using MICHELIN Scenic Routes and the visual route planner, keeping tabs on your riding group via the Group Ride Tracker, or pushing your limits on a closed circuit, the Garmin zumo XT3 has the tools and the toughness to keep up.

Compatible accessories, power cables and add-ons are available - view Garmin zumo XT3 accessories.

The Garmin zumo XT3 is the latest and most advanced premium motorcycle sat nav from Garmin, succeeding the popular Garmin zumo XT2 and continuing a line of ground-breaking zumo motorcycle sat navs including the Garmin zumo 660 and Garmin zumo XT. The zumo XT3 delivers spoken turn-by-turn directions through your connected helmet or headset and is available in two sizes - a compact 4.7-inch model ideal for sport and smaller bikes, and a 6-inch model for touring and adventure riders who prefer a larger display.

The 6-inch model shares the same screen dimensions as the XT2, while the 4.7-inch model is a new, more compact option for riders who prefer a smaller, lighter device. Both XT3 models step up to 64GB of internal storage (double the 32GB on the XT2) and add HD 3D terrain mapping, which was absent from the XT2. Battery life on the 4.7-inch model is up to 3 hours; the 6-inch model matches the XT2 with up to 6 hours. Both can be hardwired to your motorcycle's electrical supply for unlimited use on longer rides.

Both models feature a bright, glove-friendly high-resolution touchscreen that remains readable in all lighting conditions. A standout new feature is the live lean angle gauge, showing riders in real time how far the bike is tipping into each corner - alongside other ride metrics such as G-force and max speed. Ride summaries can be reviewed after each trip via the Garmin Tread smartphone app.

For riders who take to the track, the optional Garmin Performance Package adds lap timing, drag racing metrics - including 0-60mph, ⅛-mile and ¼-mile times - and access to leaderboards. Mapping is equally impressive, with preloaded street maps and HD topographic maps, downloadable satellite imagery, and Garmin's Adventurous Routing for finding hilly, curvy and scenic roads.

The XT3 is compatible with the Garmin zumo Handlebar Controller (pictured right), allowing you to control your sat nav without taking your hands off the handlebars. The XT3 also works with the Garmin zumo R1 Radar for blind spot and rearview monitoring, and a compatible Garmin inReach satellite communicator for off-grid messaging and SOS capability.

New Features on the Garmin zumo XT3

‣ Lean Angle Gauge - After your ride, the zumo XT3 shows exactly how far you leaned on every corner. Lean angle, G-force, max speed and more can be reviewed and shared in the Garmin Tread app, giving you a detailed breakdown of your riding style and performance.

‣ Drag Race Timer - With an active Garmin Performance Package plan, the zumo XT3 records your 0–100 km/h (0–60 mph) time, plus ⅛-mile and ¼-mile times using the onboard sensors. Perfect for track days or performance testing.

‣ Lap Time Review - Also requiring a Garmin Performance Package subscription, this feature lets you review detailed lap data including lap times, race metrics, delta times and lean angles through each turn of the circuit.

‣ Outdoor Maps+ - A new optional subscription service giving ongoing access to premium mapping content including Adventure Roads and Trails for turn-by-turn off-road routing. Content is regularly updated and delivered directly to the device via Wi-Fi. Annual plan: £49.99 / Monthly: £4.99.

Preloaded UK and European On-Road and Off-Road Maps

The Garmin zumo XT3 comes preloaded with street-level road maps and topographic maps for the UK and Europe, with free lifetime map updates included. Both the 4.7-inch and 6-inch models also include HD 3D terrain data - a significant step up from the XT2 which lacked this feature.

BirdsEye Satellite Imagery - High-resolution satellite imagery displays vivid overhead views of your route and surrounding terrain. Maps download directly to the device via Wi-Fi with no annual subscription required.

As with the zumo XT2, you can toggle between on-road street maps, topographic off-road maps and BirdsEye Satellite Imagery directly from the onscreen menu — ensuring you always have the right map view for your riding conditions.

External microSD card storage of up to 256GB is supported (sold separately), allowing you to add further maps as required.

Garmin zumo XT3 Features Explained

The zumo XT3 uses Garmin Adventurous Routing to help you find the most enjoyable roads. Choose from four levels of difficulty to prioritise curves, hills and scenic sights over straight, fast roads. MICHELIN Scenic Routes are preloaded and can be integrated into any planned journey via the visual route planner, or selected spontaneously by tapping a highlighted green route directly on the map.

The popular moto paths feature shows routes that have been ridden and shared by other Garmin users - a great way to discover new roads you might never have found on your own. You can also use the Great Rides database within the Tread smartphone app to find and bookmark routes, which automatically sync to your device. Difficulty ratings and photos can be added and shared with other riders.

The visual route planner lets you build a custom route on the device itself or via the Tread app on a compatible smartphone. You can select routing preferences for curves, hills or scenic byways, and import your own routes in GPX, KML or KMZ file formats.

Rider alerts warn you of hazards ahead on your route, including sharp curves, speed changes and speed cameras. Incident detection is also built in - if the device detects a potential incident, it automatically sends a text message containing your location to a predetermined emergency contact (requires smartphone pairing and Tread app).

Built-in Bluetooth technology enables hands-free calls when paired with a compatible helmet or headset via the Tread app. Real-time traffic and weather information, smartphone notifications and music control are also available through the Tread app. Turn-by-turn prompts are sent directly to your headset via the paired phone.

The Track Recorder captures your ride data - speed, distance, lean angles, acceleration and more - for later review and sharing via the Garmin Tread app. All data is managed easily across your sat nav and smartphone through the Tread interface.

Group Ride Tracking is supported in two ways. Within mobile coverage, use the Tread app's group ride mobile feature to track friends' locations in real time. Beyond mobile coverage, add the Group Ride Tracker accessory (sold separately) along with the Group Ride Tracker Y-adapter cable for radio-based tracking with other compatible Garmin zumo or Tread sat nav users.

Built-in Wi-Fi makes it easy to keep maps and software up to date. The zumo XT3 also pairs with compatible Garmin inReach satellite communicators - such as the inReach Mini 3 Plus - for two-way satellite messaging, location sharing and SOS capability when out of mobile coverage.

Garmin Performance Package

Track-day riders can unlock additional performance features with an active Garmin Performance Package subscription. Using the zumo XT3's onboard sensors, this records drag race splits (0–100 km/h, ⅛-mile and ¼-mile times), lap times, session performance and detailed lean angle data through each section of the track. Data can also be accessed via the Garmin Catalyst mobile app when away from the device. Annual plan: £99.99 / Monthly: £9.99.

Cyclops Speed Camera Alerts

The Garmin zumo XT3, like all Garmin sat navs, receives its speed camera data from the Cyclops speed camera database. The database provides advanced alerts for fixed, average speed, mobile, variable, temporary roadwork, red light and red light speed cameras. As you approach a camera, your device sounds an alert. Subscription charges apply. Read more about the Cyclops speed camera database.
