The Garmin City Navigator NT range of maps provides detailed, street-level road navigation using trusted HERE maps. These maps are compatible with the vast majority of Garmin GPS and sat nav devices, including the popular nüvi car sat nav range, zumo motorcycle sat nav range, as well as selected Garmin handheld and cycling GPS units – view compatibility.

Which Garmin devices are compatible with City Navigator NT maps?

Garmin City Navigator NT maps work with a wide range of Garmin devices, including automotive, handheld/outdoor, marine, and aviation units. You can use the same microSD/SD card in different devices, though not simultaneously due to copyright restrictions. IMPORTANT: The latest version of the Garmin City Navigator NT Maps of North America is NOT compatible with the following Garmin nuvi 300, nuvi 600 series. This is because the file size of the map data now exceeds the 2GB maximum these Garmin sat nav devices can read.

In addition the complete City Navigator NT map series is no longer compatible with the Garmin StreetPilot i2, i3, i5, c300, c500, 2000, 7000 series.

Please note: Some Garmin City Navigator NT maps have been discontinued by Garmin over the years:

The Israel, India, and NTU Pan Africa maps were discontinued in Spring 2014.
In Spring 2016, the Russia map was discontinued.
In Spring 2021, the Morocco map was discontinued, while a new South Asia map was released covering India.
In Spring 2022, the Turkey map was discontinued; Turkey is now included within the coverage of the maps of Europe.
In Summer 2022, the Alps, Switzerland, Germany & Austria and Eastern Europe maps were discontinued; D, A, and CH are included within the maps of Europe.
In Spring 2023, the following maps were discontinued: UK & Ireland, France & Benelux, Spain & Portugal, Italy & Greece, Nordics, and Brazil. All European regions are now included within the coverage of the maps of Full Europe, and the Brazil map is included in the South America map.
