The ICOM M93D is a top-of-the-range handheld VHF radio with a large 2.3-inch LCD that is waterproof to IPX8 submersion rating. Not only is it waterproof to IPX8 standards but it also floats on water and flashes to help you locate it when dropped in the water.

The ICOM M93D uses GPS, GLONASS, QZSS and SBAS. You can use the GPS to provide location, bearing and speed. Plus you can navigate from your current position to a specified waypoint.

AquaQuake Draining function allows you to clear the systems speaker of water when you have submerged it in water or used it in wet conditions. The battery life is 9 hours.

The Icom IC-M93D is a top-of-the-range VHF DSC handheld, portable radio with a large 2.3-inch sunlight-readable LCD which also shows large text to read in all weather conditions. Not only is this Icom radio waterproof but it also floats if dropped in the water. When dropped in the water it will Float and Flash (flashes on back if floating on front and screen flashes on front if floating on its back). Integrated GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) provides location, bearing and speed and you can also use the navigation function to travel from your current position to a specified waypoint (you can save up to 50 waypoints with alphanumeric names). If you are using the Icom IC-M93D in wet conditions such as heavy rain, or perhaps you have dropped the IC-M93D in water you can drain the water from the device using the AquaQuake Draining function. This means you do not have to wait until the water drys out before using the radio - simply use this function to clear water from the device and continue using the Icom radio to communicate on the water.

You can choose the most often used 19 functions to be assigned at the bottom of the display (toggle with left and right keys). Plus Favourite Channel function allows quick channel selection (select Tag channel).

The Icom IC-M93D is a leading handheld radio for marine use when on the water. It is suitable for many applications such as on boats, yachts, kayaks, canoes, windsurfing when you want communication on the water. This Icom uses GPS, GLONASS, QZSS and SBAS (WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS).

It is the slimmest buoyant DSC radio offered by Icom with an intuitive user interface and has touch sensitive buttons for easy use. Active Noise Cancelling technology filters out background noise. Infact, it not only cleans up the transmitted voice but also focuses in the received voice making communication as simple as possible.

The Icom IC-M93D is IPX7 waterproof and can be submersed underwater to a depth of 1 metres for 30 minutes. Man Overboard (MOB) feature also can be used to send a distress signal which transmits your position as well as the distress signal.

Dual/Tri-watch function monitors CH16 and/or call channel. The Icom also monitors CH70 independently of the main receiver and other operation.

Battery life is 9 hours and from zero battery power it takes only takes 2 and a half hours to charge. Battery indicator shows battery power in four levels.

There is a distress button hidden under a rear panel which is protected against accidental operation with a spring cover.
