The Garmin quatix 6 multisport GPS marine watch is specifically designed to participate in water activities. The Garmin quatix 6 comes preloaded with apps for marine activities, such as boating, fishing, etc. Garmin quatix 6 connects with compatible Garmin chartplotters and other devices to stream data to your wrist and the screen of the quatix 6 smart watch. In addition, you can experience full control of your boat from your watch. Access the autopilot app to change heading, engage pattern steering and follow a GPS route and from your wrist and the quatix 6. Data you can stream includes; speed, depth, temperature and wind. The quatix 6 also supports advanced fitness features and includes a built-in wrist-based heart rate monitor. Connected features include smart notifications, automatic uploads to Garmin Connect. What's more you can set sail for up to 2 weeks on a single charge when used in smartwatch mode.

Satellite navigation - the Garmin quatix 6 smartwatch is equipped with high-sensitivity GPS navigation and tracking functions plus ABC (altimeter, barometer and compass) sensor capabilities.

Music on the Garmin quatix 6. You can sync playlists from music streaming services including Deezer, Amazon Music and Spotify - to your watch for phone-free listening. Garmin quatix 6 can store up to 2,000 songs.

Pairing the Garmin quatix 6 with your compatible Garmin chartplotter

You can pair the Garmin quatix 6 marine watch with a compatible Garmin chartplotter on your boat and wirelessly view NMEA 2000 data including wind speed, direction and water depth. There is also a Garmin autopilot feature that allows you to move about the boat and receive information on your wrist, via the screen of the quatix 6 marine GPS smartwatch. When paired with your boat's compatible Garmin chartplotter the Garmin quatix 6 can be used to:

Stream boat data - you can stream data fields from your compatible Garmin chartplotter to the screen of your Garmin quatix 6. The Garmin quatix 6 displays information including water depth, engine RPM, wind, custom data and more. All directly on your wrist when you connect your Garmin quatix 6 to your boat’s compatible devices.

Marking a waypoint on your chartplotter - you can mark a waypoint on your compatible Garmin chartplotter using your Garmin quatix 6 smartwatch.

Autopilot - Experience full control of your Garmin chartplotter on your boat from the Garmin quatix 6 smartwatch. Access the Autopilot App to change heading, engage pattern steering and follow a GPS route.

Tack Assist - while cruising or racing into the wind, the tack assist feature can help you determine if your boat is being lifted or headed. When you calibrate tack assist, the device captures your boats port and starboard course over ground (COG) measurements, and uses the COG data to calculate the mean true wind direction and the boats tack angle.

Sail Racing - you can use the Garmin quatix 6 to increase the likelihood that your boat will cross the start line of a race exactly when the race begins. When you synchronise the race timer with the official race countdown timer, you are alerted at one-minute intervals as the race start approaches. The quatix 6 uses this data to indicate whether your boat will cross the start line before, after, or at the correct time to start the race.

You can use the FUSION-Link app on your quatix 6 smartwatch to control the audio playback on your FUSION device.

The unit's internal rechargeable lithium battery provides up to 14 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, 36 hours in GPS mode and up to 48 hours in UltraTrac battery saver mode.

To connect to other devices e.g. smartphone and optional Garmin quatix 6 accessories, the quatix 6 features built-in ANT+, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity.

The Garmin quatix 6 is waterproof to 10 ATM (100 metres). It is therefore intended for surface swimming only. Scuba diving may damage the quatix 6 and will void the warranty.

Using the USB charging cable enables you to not only charge the Garmin quatix 6's built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, but also enables transfer data from the quatix 6 to/from your compatible computer.
