Mount your compatible Garmin handheld or marine GPSMAP device on top of your vehicles dashboard or other flat surface e.g. on your boat.

The Garmin GPSMAP portable friction mount works simply by sitting on any smooth flat surface without using any adhesives. Therefore it doesn't leave a mark and can be removed from your car, van, boat or out of sight of would be thieves in seconds.

The weighted mount with non-skid base moulds to your vehicles or vessels dashboard ensuring your Garmin compatible GPSMAP device is held securely in place.

Please note: Your Garmin GPSMAP mount cradle is also required to complete the installation and clicks into place on the portable friction mounts ball joint on the end of arm (see photos).

Garmin GPSMAP Weighted Friction Mount

Mount your Garmin GPS 72H, GPS 73, GPS 76, GPSMAP 176C, GPSMAP 76, GPSMAP 78 or GPSMAP 96 on top of your vehicles dashboard, or any contoured or smooth surface with this genuine Garmin friction mount.

The friction mount is a weighted mount which moulds to the contours of a horizontal surface and can easily be removed to a different location - there are no screws, adhesive pads or suckers. Like other Garmin friction mounts designed for use with various models there is no cradle included.

When using the friction mount with any device, for example the handheld Garmin GPSMAP 78s, it is intended to be used with the cradle from the 78s marine mount which you purchase separately. The basic instruction is to unscrew the cradle from the marine mount (turning the knurled knob), remove the cradle, then, using parts supplied with the friction mount, attach the GPSMAP 78s cradle to the friction mount.

Please note: NO CRADLE IS INCLUDED. As described above your Garmin GPSMAP (marine) mount cradle is also required to complete the installation, attaching it to the portable friction mount using parts from this friction mount along with parts from your marine mount.
