Garmin Drive 61 Windscreen Mount

Mount your Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S to your vehicles windscreen by buying this authentic Garmin accessory that has been designed specifically for the latest Garmin 6-inch and 7-inch screen sat navs.

How to use the mount

Mounting your Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S to your vehicles windscreen is easy. In the box (when you buy from ActiveGPS) you will find two parts (which are already joined together):

‣Unit mount (2)
‣Suction cup mount (3)

Simply press the mount (2) onto the suction cup (3) until it snaps into place, you can also reverse this process to detach the two parts. Why would you want to detach? See 'Alternative mounting options' further down this page.

Next, press the suction cup to the windscreen, and flip the lever (4) back toward the windscreen.

Finally, to power your Drive 61 LMT-S plug the vehicle power cable (1), which is sold separately, into the mini USB port on the back of your sat nav.

Powering your Drive 61 LMT-S

To power and charge your Drive 61 LMT-S in your vehicle you will also need to buy the Drive 61 LMT-S vehicle power cable. The vehicle power cable doesn't plug into the suction cup mount cradle, but instead plugs directly into the Drive 61 LMT-S sat nav - as pictured above (1). What do the letters stand for? LM = Lifetime Maps, LMT = Lifetime Maps and Lifetime Traffic, LMT-D = Lifetime Maps and Lifetime Traffic via the DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) network. These letters signify what your original Garmin Camper or nuvi sat nav was supplied with.

Alternative mounting option

By using the unit mount cradle supplied with the Garmin Drive 61 LMT-S suction cup mount you can also use it with the portable friction mount.
