Garmin CamperVan sat nav has been specifically designed for use drivers of smaller camper vans. Equipped with voice activation and a large 6.95-inch touchscreen display, the CamperVan features City Navigator street-level maps for UK and Europe and BirdsEye Satellite Imagery. Both updatable by download via Wifi.

The Garmin CamperVan also features a plethora of extremely useful POI databases that are a must for any camper van driver including campsite directories from ACSI, Campercontact, iOverlander and Trailer’s PARK.

Additionally included databases include; The Michelin Green Guide and TripAdvisor.

Garmin CamperVan features a built-in voice assistant. To activate the voice assistant, Just say ″OK Garmin″ the CamperVan sat nav then responds to your spoken requests then navigates wherever you need to go.

The Garmin CamperVan is also compatible with the Garmin BC 40 Wireless Reversing Camera and Garmin BC50 reversing cameras. Once either of the Garmin BC reversing cameras are installed you will be able to view the view of the road behind your vehicle making it easier to park you camper van.

Garmin CamperVan sat nav features a bright, high-resolution 6.95-inch touchscreen display, preloaded camp site data and UK and European City Navigator maps (which are free to update), making the CamperVan the perfect partner when driving a small van sized camper van. For drivers of large motorhomes and drivers towing caravans a different caravan/motorhome sat nav in the Garmin range would make a better purchase as you can input the dimensions of your overall vehicle to avoid low bridges, narrow roads, etc. The Garmin CamperVan doesn't have the ability to input vehicle dimensions as it is aimed at camper van owners with smaller vehicles e.g. VW Campervan (small van size).

In addition when you pair the Garmin CamperVan with the Garmin Drive app on your compatible smartphone, live traffic helps you avoid delays and find detours. Also view live fuel prices, detailed weather forecasts, current conditions, animated radar and more. Live traffic services can also be acheived when purchasing the Garmin GTM 36 FM Traffic Receiver. The Garmin GTM 36 replaces the supplied vehicle power cable to provide power/charge and also traffic information without subscription and without the need of a smartphone. The GTM 36 (pictured right) uses the FM signal to provide traffic updates directly to the Garmin CamperVan.

To update the Garmin CamperVan preloaded City Navigator Europe maps, BirdsEye satellite imagery maps, software etc, built-in WiFi connectivity makes it easy to update without using a computer. On-screen cues also show you when new updates are available.

The Garmin CamperVan is also compatible with both the Garmin BC 40 Wireless Reversing Camera and Garmin BC50 reversing cameras. Installation

Garmin CamperVan is powered via the supplied 12/24 volt vehicle power cable, the CamperVan is then mounted onto your vehicles windscreen via the also supplied suction cup mount. The power socket is built-into the device enabling the vehicle power cable to plug directly into the Garmin CamperVan. On a full charge the Garmin CamperVan's built-in rechargeable lithium-ion provides power for up to 1 hour.

Live traffic services via FM signal can be acheived when purchasing the Garmin GTM 36 FM Traffic Receiver. The Garmin GTM 36 replaces the supplied vehicle power cable to provide power/charge and also traffic information without subscription and without the need of a smartphone. The Garmin GTM 36 provides traffic updates directly to the Garmin CamperVan.

It is also possible to add a reversing camera to your vehicle with the Garmin CamperVan screen acting as a monitor. This is an optional extra. Two different Garmin Back-Up Cameras (BC) are compatible with the Garmin CameraVan, these are the Garmin BC 40 Wireless Reversing Camera and Garmin BC50 reversing cameras (pictured right).

Charging the internal battery

We do not recommend using a third party charger with this product. A mobile phone USB charger or a laptop may not be powerful enough to reliably charge the Garmin CamperVan and may provide an incorrect voltage or insufficient power. An official genuine Garmin AC charger is available for indoor use with this product you can view and buy here.

Please bear in mind that the product on this page is designed to be used in a vehicle with power provided by the included vehicle charger. The battery is for short term back up only - not for regular use. For optimum performance we recommend that you use this product connected to cigarette lighter adapter via the vehicle charger. Because of potential power surges which may damage the product you should not start your vehicle with the product connected.

Map Coverage

Garmin CamperVan comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator street maps for Europe provided from map supplier here. Rolling screen transition, accelerated map redraw and routing capabilities make screen zooming even smoother and ensure the navigation always matches your pace.
