Use this Garmin Y-cable to connect a 12-pin Garmin transducer with SideVu/Clearvu along with an 8-pin 2D transducer into a single 12-pin (orange) port on a compatible Garmin chartplotter or Garmin fishfinder.

This adapter cable allows compatible Garmin chartplotters and fishfinders to continue to display water depth from the in-hull transducer in instances when the transom mount transducer loses depth reading due to excess speed or cavitation.

Using the Garmim Transducer Y-Cable

The Garmin Y-cable transducer to sounder adaptor cable available to buy on this page enables you to connect a Garmin 8-pin 2D transducer as well as a 12-pin SideVu / Clearvu transducer into a single 12-pin (orange) port on a Garmin SideVu equipped sonar chartplotter.

The Y-cable 12-pin and 8-pin Transducer to 12-pin Sounder Adaptor Cable is only compatible with specific SideVu / ClearVu transducers. The transducers that the Y-cable is compatible with is the following Garmin transducers: Garmin GT30-TM, Garmin GT30-TH, Garmin GT34UHD-TM, and the Garmin GT36UHD-TM

The Y-cable 12-pin and 8-pin Transducer to 12-pin Sounder Adaptor Cable also only works with specific 2D transducers. The transducers that the Y-cable is compatible with is the following Garmin transducers: Garmin GT8HW-IH, Garmin GT15M-IH, Garmin Airmar B60 (12°), Garmin Airmar B60 (20°), Garmin Airmar P72 and Garmin Airmar P79.

Software set-up is automatic with the Garmin GT8HW-IH and Garmin GT15M-IH. The Airmar transducers require a manual transducer selection.

Please note: This Y-Cable will not work with any GT or CV all-in-one transducer like Garmin GT40, Garmin GT41, Garmin GT50M, Garmin GT51M-TM, Garmin GT52HW-TM, Garmin GT54UHD-TM and Garmin GT56UHD-TM.

Please note: When using the Y-cable 12-pin and 8-pin Transducer to 12-pin Sounder Adaptor Cable, user must manually select the transducer type they intend to use.
