The Nextbase 512G is a dash cam that features a 2.7-inch LED screen. The screen can be used for instant playback of videos recorded and there is also an on-screen menu for control of the Nextbase dashboard cameras features. This Nextbase will record in 1080p Full HD at 30 frames per second.

The lens on the Nextbase 512G has a six-element sharp lens which has 6 layers of glass resulting in stunning clear images. The recordings made with the Nextbase 512G are bright and clear both at day and night. The Nextbase 512G is the first dash cam in the world to feature anti-glare polarising filter which removes the glare from the windscreen. Furthermore the Sony Exmor sensor helps make recordings great clarity day and night. Wide Dynamic Range image processing operates with up to ISO 3200 at night to further optimise videos recorded in dark conditions at night.

The recording angle on the Nextbase 512G is 140 degrees. There is also built-in GPS technology that will record you GPS location so that you can view your route on a PC or Mac to review your journey. This is also useful as it matches video to the GPS location so you can see where each video is taken. This is crucial when proving where you were when an incident occurred.

There are 3 recording modes on the Nextbase 512G:

Continuous recording mode: Loop recording is a feature or the Nextbase 512G. Old video will be overwritten when the SD card becomes full.

Parking mode: Motion detection is used by the Nextbase 512G to start recording when your vehicle is parked. You can then capture events whilst away from your car, van or lorry.

G-Sensor recording mode: The G-Sensor records G-Forces which you can view back on the supplied software on a PC or Mac. If a large G-Force is detected then the video will be saved and prevented from being overwritten ensuring you have the video stored at the crucial time of an incident. In fact the video is saved before, during and after the video recorded.

An in-built battery has a battery life of 6 minutes for using the dash cam in photo mode. Photo mode is a feature of the Nextbase 512G which enables you to take photos either of an incident or of scenic landscapes along your journey.

Nextbase software allows you to watch video back on a PC or Mac computer. You can also see G-Force data, GPS location on a map and time of the recorded video.

A cigarette lighter adaptor and windscreen suction cup mount is included in the box when purchasing the Nextbase 512G. No Micro SD card is included in the box.
