Mio MiVue J85 is a dashboard camera which records with a 150 degree wide-view angle of the road ahead. The Mio J85 also features parking mode that will record using motion detection when your vehicle is parked.

WiFi technology allows you to download and share videos as well as update firmware. GPS technology records location and speed. GPS speed camera detection is also built in to the Mio J85 dash cam for which the speed camera database can be updated once a month.

The Mio MiVue will work in both day and night driving conditions as it has 2.5 QHD 1600p recording specification.

You can buy the A30 rear dash cam to add a rear camera too.

No microSD card is included in the box. You will need to purchase the microSD storage card separately.

The Mio MiVue J85 is a sleek designed dashboard camera which offers a discreet installation in your vehicle. It can be mounted behind the rear view mirror. The Mio J85 can optionally be used with A30 rear camera.

Recordings are made in MP4 (H.264) format with the 2.5 QHD 1600p Mio dash cam device which makes it possible to record at night as well as in the daylight conditions. There is a premium Sony's high-quality STARVIS CMOS recording sensor.

Videos are captured with a 150 degree wide angle view of the road ahead. The aperture is F1.8.

Parking mode is available with the Mio J85. Simply buy the SmartBox II power cable (additional extra accessory sold separately). Once set up videos will only be recorded if motion is detected.

WiFi is integrated into the Mio J85 device which can be used for multiple functions. Backup videos to a compatible smartphone, share videos via the MiVue Pro app, update firmware or update the speed camera database.

Pre-installed speed camera locations are updatable for the lifetime of the dash cam device. Speeding alerts are also provided so you will know if you are driving above the speed limit.

Voice Guidance is provided for alerts for lane departure and alerts if you drive above the speed limit. The voice guidance is available in a choice of languages.

Full HD Video Playback on a PC or Mac using MiVue Manager software. You can also share videos recorded on the Mio J85 as well as combine videos for sharing on social media such as Facebook and YouTube. GPS Overlay in Google Maps provides a view of you route on a map as you watch the video on a computer. Direction Analyzer also records and shows 3-axis g-forces in synchronisation with the video when you playback the video.

When you track and record your journey it records GPS location and speed.

There is an in-built 3-axis G-Sensor and if an impact is detected footage is automatically stored and cannot be overwritten. This protects the video and can be used to show insurance companies when proving the actual events that led to the accident.

Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) provides lane departure warnings and alerts if you are driving above the speed limit.

Installation

You can locate the Mio MiVue J85 behind the rear view mirror, which also helps to ensure the highest quality recordings and does not obstruct your view of the road ahead. You can use the included car charger to power the in car camera device. A windscreen mounting bracket is also provided.

MiVue Manager Compatibility

MiVue Manager is a tool for you to view the videos recorded on your MiVue J85 recorder on a PC computer or Mac Computer. The Mio MiVue software can be downloaded from the Mio Service website.

Speed Camera Database

The Mio MiVue J85 includes free speed cameras and is compatible with both Mac and Windows computers. This is separate from the MiVue Manager software and is accessible via Mio's website.

From the support webpage you simply select your Mio MiVue model name from the dropdown menu and you will see the available updates including speed cameras. You will need to load the speed cameras to a formatted SD card for use with your Mio device.

The speed camera updates are updated approximately once a month.
