UK Delivery
Royal Mail Industrial Action - Updated 17th November 2007
Royal Mail inform us: "We apologise to all of our customers for the inconvenience and disruption caused by the recent industrial action and are pleased to announce that there is no strike action currently taking place. With the exception of some parts of south London, Cheshire and Merseyside and the Gatwick and Croydon postcode areas, we are making good progress and clearing large volumes of mail every day.
We used all available resources last weekend to clear as much of the remaining backlog of mail as possible and this will continue over the coming weeks. This will be dealt with in the order in which it was received, although different types of mail are being cleared at different rates".
Next day delivery
We aim for next day delivery for all orders placed before 3pm (subject to stock availability). Deliveries are carried either via Initial City Link Delivery, Royal Mail Special Delivery or 1st class Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. Although 1st class, the latter service does not guarantee next day delivery.

Royal Mail Special/Recorded Delivery
Royal Mail Special Delivery is guaranteed for next working day before 1pm, for orders placed before 3pm (subject to stock availability). Accessories, if purchased separately from a system purchase, are dispatched using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. Orders placed before 3.00pm on a Friday, and which we would normally send by Special Delivery, will be guaranteed a delivery on Monday. For a guaranteed Saturday delivery we need to charge £14.95. Please call if you need Saturday delivery.
Your purchased item(s) will be received during working hours. In the event that no one is available to sign for the order, your goods will then be held at your local collection office.
Goods not signed for will be then held at your local Royal Mail collection office - at the time of the unsuccessful delivery of your order, Royal Mail will leave a card providing details. Goods will be held for a disclosed length of time. After this time your purchase will then be returned to ActiveGPS.co.uk. We retain records of all purchases and returns.
Initial City Link Delivery
Initial City Link Delivery is guaranteed for next working day before 5:30pm, for orders placed before 3pm (subject to stock availability).
Your purchased item(s) will be received during working hours. In the event that no one is available to sign for the order. Initial City Link will leave a card and a second attempt to delivery will be made (normally the proceeding working day). If after a second failed delivery attempt, your goods will then be held for a disclosed length of time at your local Initial City Link collection office. After this time your purchase will then be returned to ActiveGPS.co.uk. We retain records of all purchases and returns.
