The Garmin Tactix is a watch that has GPS capabilities. It is known as an ABC watch which means it features a altimeter, barometer and a 3-axis compass. It will also calculate distance, pace, cadence and calories so you can measure your effort and performance.

You can share routes and waypoints using BaseCamp software. You can connect using ANT+ technology and Bluetooth to a compatible Garmin devices or a smartphone and you can also control VIRB action cameras too.

The Garmin Tactix is also compatible with a heart rate monitor, speed/cadence bike sensor and a foot pod which can be used indoors or outdoors.

The Garmin Tactix is a GPS navigational watch with many features and varied functionality. It is an ABC watch meaning it features an altimeter, barometer and compass. It is waterproof up to 50 meters, is rugged and scratch-resistant, can survive shocks and features a curved lens. Furthermore it has an LCD screen with green LED. The battery life of the watch is 50 hours (in GPS mode) and up to 5 weeks (in watch mode).

The Garmin Tactix has an altimeter, barometer and compass. The altimeter will display elevation data showing ascent and descent information. The barometer will predict weather based on short-term air-pressure changes. Plus the 3-axis compass will keep your bearing whether you are moving or not.

If you are looking for a wrist watch that specifically connects to your marine chartplotter we recommend that you consider buying the Garmin Quatix instead.

The Tactix is equipped with sun/moon information and hunt/fish calendar. It also features all the basics you would expect from a watch including alarms, tones, vibration alerts, a timer, stopwatch and world clock (with several time zones at once). The Tactix will also automatically set the time based on location.

It also features a TracBack feature to enable you to get back to your starting point which may be a campsite or your vehicle. The Tactix can also store 1,000 waypoints and 10,000 track points.
